Coming up at the Free Library

I keep forgetting about the Free Library of Philadelphia as a science talk venue. In the past they’ve hosted folks like Richard Dawkins and Michael Shermer — it’s where the smarter book tours stop…and then charge you money.
So here’s two that will set you back $12 apiece:
March 29: Eric Kandel, In Search of Memory: The Emergence of a New Science of Mind
Kandel is the 2000 Nobel Laureate in Medicine and sea slug fetishist.
April 17: Walter Isaacson, Einstein: His Life and Universe
Isaacson has been Chairman and CEO of CNN and the Managing Editor of Time Magazine.
The Central Library is that big imposing structure at 1901 Vine Street. Just be careful while crossing the Parkway at Logan’s Circular Square.
Perhaps more importantly, the Free Library has a blog!
