As I just got finished posting, the CHF is hosting a new lecture series in coordination with their Molecules That Matter exhibit.
First up is Robert Langer from MIT on September 25th. Doors open at 5, lecture at 6 and the reception is at 7, so at least you might get some wine and cheese for your $15.
Langer won the Millennium Technology Prize this year and the National Medal of Science last year. Langer’s lecture — “Biomaterials and How They Will Change Our Lives” — will likely focus on using biomolecules (genetically engineered proteins, antibodies, DNA and the like) to create useful technology, including advances in medicine and material science (you know, stuff to make other stuff with).
