According to weather guys, Saturday is supposed to be a little crummy here in sunny Philadelphia.
You’ve spent all winter inside watching the same DVDs over and over again, why not take a field trip?
Here’s some things to do with the kids:
Go to The Franklin to see stuff blow up (and other things get dissected!). Its also a Narnia “family fun day” — Narnia closes on April 19th.
Go to The Academy of Natural Sciences to see the Hadrosaurus exhibit before it goes away on May 3. Show your kids where Jersey used to be underwater, and how the first dinosaur exhibited in the U.S. came from right here in the Delaware Valley.
Take a pilgrimage to rarely-seen Wagner Free Institute of Science to learn why the bees are disappearing.
Learn how you can volunteer at the Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education . Call first, I’m not sure if kids can volunteer. You can, slacker.
Check out the SlowLife exhibit at the Chemical Heritage Foundation.
