Naturalist, explorer, tv host and handsome, handsome man, Richard Wiese will be at the Academy of Natural Sciences on Sept. 24 to discuss how dreamy men keep their hair bouncy despite jungle humidity living an active, nature-filled life in our modern world.
Living an active, nature-filled life in today’s stress-filled society can be challenging but totally rewarding. Richard Wiese, author of “Born to Explore: How To Be a Backyard Adventurer,” has lived this life and will share his experiences and helpful hints, such as how to navigate by the stars and build a fire without matches. Wiese is an Emmy Award-winning journalist, TV host, naturalist, mountain climber and former president of the Explorers Club. He will sign copies of his book, which will be available to purchase, following his presentation.
Jealous kidding aside, it sounds like he would be a great presenter.
His message reminds me of the sort of idea being promoted by Leonore Skenazy of Free-Range Kids fame and Richard Louv’s Last Child in the Woods.
The event is free and open to the public.
